What is the solar system?
It consists of the Sun, planets, moons, asteroids, and other objects that orbit around it.
Súčasťou slnečnej sústavy (the solar system) je určite samotné Slnko (the Sun) – jej stred. Ďalej planéty (planets) a ich mesiace (moons) a ďalšie drobnejšie objekty, ktoré obiehajú Slnko (napr. asteroidy).

The Moon or moon, alebo aké písať písmeno a člen?
Slnko: pokiaľ máme na mysli hviezdu a nie slnko na oblohe, píšeme s veľkým začiatočným písmenom. Používame s ním určitý člen THE = the Sun. Takisto aj názov našej galaxie, je vlastné podstatné meno, takže s veľkým písmenom = the Milky Way. Názvy planét píšeme s veľkým začiatočným písmenom (Earth, Venus, Mars, Jupiter), ale už bez člena. Planéta Zem sa zvykne používať buď bez člena, alebo aj s urč. členom THE.
Názov mesiac – moon sa používa ako bežné podstatné meno. Čiže sa spája s rôznymi členmi a píše sa s malým začiatočným písmenom. ALE: ak je to názov nášho mesiaca Mesiaca – potom s veľkým začiatočným a s určitým členom THE = the Moon.
